PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a debugging system and its method for suppressing the limitation of the maximum operating frequency due to an increase of debugging terminals or skew between the debugging terminals. SOLUTION: A microcomputer 3 has means for detecting the occurrence of branching/interruption with reference to the status of executing the order of a program and transmitting information for the occurrence of branching/interruption and information for an interruption factor. A debugging device 1 has means for receiving the information for the occurrence of branching/interruption and generating an address variation from a counter value synchronized with a clock, means for detecting a predetermined transfer starting bit string and transforming the information for the interruption factor received as serial data into parallel data with reference to a flag set by the bit string, and means for telling the address variation and the information for the interruption factor on request from a host computer 2.
