PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a swell from occurring in a liquid tank whose upper opened part with a U-shaped cross section is used by fitting a lid body thereinto. SOLUTION: A columnar body 1 made of a polyethylene resin, in which a bolt hole 2 is longitudinally formed from one end surface and in which a through-hole is formed near the other end in a transverse direction, is fixed by inserting a bolt 7 from outside a mold 4 for molding the tank in such an attitude that the side of the bolt hole 2 is directed to the inner surface of the mold 4; the liquid tank is rotatively molded from the polyethylene resin; after the removal of the mold 4, the columnar body 1 is inserted into a polyvinyl chloride pipe wherein a through-hole is formed near both ends in a transverse direction; and a pin 9 is inserted into both the through-hole of the columnar body 1 and that of the pipe, so that the columnar body 1 and the pipe can be fixedly coupled together.
