<p>The injection assembly, for a plastics injection molding machine, has a plasticizing cylinder with a plasticizing screw. A rotary electromotor drive for the screw has a housing keyed to the cylinder, and which slides along a linear guide for the stroke movements from a reciprocating drive (4). The screw, rotary drive and the reciprocating drive are arranged coaxially. The screw, rotary drive and the reciprocating drive are arranged coaxially. The cylinder and the reciprocating drive are coupled together by a twist-resistant housing shell (5).
