The flashing stoplight for a motor vehicle has a movement switch (1) with a metal core (2) movable in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The core has a contact spring (3) and a pressure spring (4) to hold it in a rest position. The core carries a movable contact (5) and the housing a fixed contact (6). The core mass and the spring rates are selected to allow the contacts to close during emergency braking loads.
