A compensation layer (14) for absorbing stress forces is provided on at least one side of the panel (10) between the core (11) and a cover layer (12, 13). The core comprises a thermal insulation layer which is thicker than either of the cover layers. The panel can be mounted in a frame assembled from hollow profiles.
