摘要

An image sensor using as a pixel an optical sensor circuit outputting a sensor signal in accordance with the optical current flowing into a photoelectric conversion element according to the incident light. The image sensor includes means for detecting a flicker cycle and phase of the light source for illumination and means for calculating the timing when the light of the illumination light source becomes brightest and reading out the sensor signal of each pixel in the image sensor at that timing. Thus, it is possible to easily control flicker generated when the image picked up by the image sensor is displayed as video without aligning the accumulation time of charge by the light of each pixel in the image sensor or correcting the video signal itself.
