The motor vehicle body has a supporting structure assembled from large-sized part modules, whereby two interconnected part modules (12,34) each include support sections (16,38) to which are connected wall and/or floor sections. The corresponding support sections of the aforesaid two part modules are assembled to form a continuous support, whereby abutment faces (54,56) of the assembled support sections extend at an angle to the direction of extent of the support.
