THRUST REVERSER ACTUATOR WITH AN AUTOMATIC RELOCK AND LOCK DROP PREVENTION MECHANISM

A thrust reverser system includes one or more actuators (210) each having a locking mechanism (522) that prevents unintended actuator movement, and thus unintended thrust reverser movement. Each of the actuators (210) additionall y includes a lock inhibitor assembly (912) that engages the lock (522) and prevents it from moving to its locked position (530) until the actuator (210 ) is moved into a stow position. Upon movement to the stow position, the lock inhibitor assembly (912) disengages the lock (522), and the lock automatical ly moves into its locked position (530).
