<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a write-once optical recording medium in which recording is made possible even in a blue laser wavelength area and which is composed of an organic material, a write-once optical recording medium in which density improvement is made possible, a modulation degree is enlarged and a change in recording characteristics or reflectance is reduced in fluctuation of a recording and reproducing wavelength and further, a write-once optical recording medium in which detailed control of a recording form is performed even when a material having no absorption maximum in a laser wavelength to be used for recording is selected as a recording material. <P>SOLUTION: In the write-once optical recording medium, a lower heat receiving layer, a light absorbing layer composed of an inorganic material and an upper heat receiving layer are provided on a translucent substrate in this order and further, a reflection layer is provided directly or via an intermediate layer. In the material of the lower heat receiving layer and/or the upper heat receiving layer, a thermal state change (fusing, melting, decomposition or sublimation) occurs and/or a form change caused by heat (expansion, recessing, void or rugged deformation) occurs in a temperature lower than the light absorbing layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
