<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-tissue fat evaluating method, an image processor and an X-ray computerized tomography system, which enable the evaluation of a fat piece in tissue without being affected by variations in a CT value due to an individual difference. <P>SOLUTION: A tissue image of muscular tissue is extracted from a tomogram (step S302); the tissue image is smoothed (step S304) and made clearer (step S305); a finite difference between the two processed images is obtained (step S306); and a variance value of the finite-difference image is computed (step S308). Thus, the variance value can be used as the index of the amount of intramuscular fat, independent of the CT value of the fat piece in the muscular tissue and a muscle, which have the individual difference. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
