PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for an electret of which heat resistance is high, a heat resistant electret using the same, a manufacturing method thereof, and an electrostatic acoustic sensor. SOLUTION: The material for the heat resistant electret which is a fluororesin containing porous sheet 2 and in which porosity of the porous sheet 2 is 15 to 80% is prepared, and the material for the heat resistant electret is stuck on a surface of a metal sheet 3. Besides, a fluororesin containing film is stuck on the porous sheet to smooth the surface thereof. Further, the surface of the metal sheet is coated with a fluororesin containing resin composition and the resin composition is then foamed, such that a fluororesin containing porous resin layer is formed on the surface of the metal sheet.
