PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fan clutch control device to economize fuel consumption of an engine and to increase this economical effect without using expensive components, by providing a fan clutch in an engine cooling fan and stopping the rotation of the cooling fan when the temperature of cooling water is low. SOLUTION: A rotation sensor is provided on the fan side of the fan clutch, and when the fan clutch becomes slippery, warning is given step by step to urge its maintenance. Thereby, a serious failure that the temperature of the engine abnormally rises due to the failure of the fan clutch is avoided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
