PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform a user intelligibly about the arrival from a specified person independent of a ring tone and to facilitate a setting operation for the purpose. SOLUTION: This communication terminal is provided with a function of registering telephone directory data, and with a caller display function which displays the destination name of originators (or telephone number) on a display section 5 when an incoming call comes. Further, the communication terminal is provided with a display switching function which switches the display of the display section 5 to a specific display form (c) including a pattern display different from conventional form (b) by designating the specific person beforehand by the user when the incoming call comes from the specific person. Registration of the specific person is performed by calling the telephone directory data to display a list of the designation name on a display 5, and by operating the key operation section by the user to designate the specific person from the list. In that case, a plurality of patterns are selectable. Moreover, a group of people can be registered correctively as the specific person. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
