PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy which can be excellently worked by extrusion and has pitting corrosion resistance, to provide a flat tube using the aluminum alloy, and to provide a long-life heat-exchanger using the tube. SOLUTION: The aluminum alloy consists of 0.05 to 0.6 wt% Cr, 0.1 to 1.0 wt% Si, greater than 0.10 wt% to 0.5 wt% Mn, 0.01 to 0.5 wt% Zn, 0.01 to 0.5 wt% Cu, and the balance aluminum and unavoidable impurities. In addition to the above-mentioned component, the aluminum alloy may further contain at least one or more kinds of elements from 0.05 to 0.3 wt% Ti or 0.05 to 0.3 wt% Zr, and may further contain at least one or more kinds of elements from 0.001 to 0.2 wt% W, 0.001 to 0.2 wt% P and 0.001 to 0.1 wt% Se.
