PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powered speaker device for suppressing the generation of heat in the inside of the device, compared to a conventional powered speaker device which transforms an AC voltage to drive an amplifier. SOLUTION: The device consists of a signal transforming means 101 having a primary side and a secondary side which are insulated each other, and transforming a voltage of a sound signal inputted into the primary side to output the transformed sound signal to the secondary side; a sound signal amplifying means 102 for applying power amplification to the transformed sound signal; a speaker 104 for amplifying sound according to the sound sound signal subjected to the power amplification; and a rectifying and smoothing means 103 for converting AC power into DC power and smoothing the converted power so that the means 102 is supplied with driving power.
