PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control type lead accumulator superior in discharge characteristics at a large current. SOLUTION: The control type lead accumulator is projected upward, and uses a positive plate 1 and a negative plate 2 having a paired positive plate 1 and a negative plate 2. The positive plate 1 and the negative plate 2 each having a plurality of sheets are laminated by a separator 3, then a positive electrode lug 9a and a negative electrode lug 9b are welded, and a positive electrode strap 6a, a negative electrode strap 6b, an electrode column 8a and a negative electrode column 8b are formed to form a plate group 17. The positive electrode column 8a and the negative electrode column 8b are formed upward of the positive electrode strap 6a and the negative electrode strap 6b, and formed so as to be mounted over the pair of the positive electrode lug 9a and the negative electrode lug 9b.
