PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new optical function element for improving emission light extraction efficiency from a light-emitting element where refractive index on an emission surface such as especially an organic EL is not large. SOLUTION: The optical function element is used in addition to the light-emitting element where the refractive index of an emission location is larger than that of air. In the optical function element, a projecting repetitive structure made of a light absorption substance having a period of specific ratio to an emission wavelength is formed on the light extraction surface.
