PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PDP capable of displaying a superior image, preventing erroneous discharge between adjacent discharging cells even if the PDP has high definition. SOLUTION: As for the discharging cell 15, a scanning electrode 6 and a sustainment electrode 7 face each other through a zig-zag-shaped discharge gap MG, and a data electrode 11 has a protruded part 11a protruding in parallel with the direction in which display electrodes 5 are arranged, and the protruded part 11a and the display electrodes 5 are made to cross each other. By the above, address discharge and sustainment discharge are confined at the center part of the discharge cell 15, and the PDP capable of displaying the superior image, preventing erroneous discharge between adjacent discharging cells even if the PDP has high definition, is realized.
