PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method by which the maximum saturation with high precision can be obtained without performing an interpolation operation causing an error which impairs reliability and a complicated operation, and to provide a device for executing the image processing method. SOLUTION: The image processing method is executed by the device including a white characteristic parameter storage part 101, an input parameter storage part 102, a CIEXYZ coordinate system color reproduction range calculation part 103 and a saturation calculation part 104.
