PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a V ribbed belt and its manufacturing method for improving abrasion resistance and stickiness resistance of a rib part surface while maintaining bending performance without adding a special blending material to rubber fore constituting rib parts. SOLUTION: This V ribbed belt 1 has an adhesive rubber layer 2 embedded with a conductor 3 and a compressed rubber layer 4 composed of a plurality of rib parts 5 extending in the belt lengthwise direction, and is characterized by having a surface hardened layer 7 formed on the rib part 5 surface by electron bream irradiating processing.
