MOTHPROOF TATAMI MAT AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mothproof Tatami mat for giving almost no ill effect to human bodies and for obtaining high anti-proliferative effect on suppression of tick growth which effect continues semi-permanently, and to provide its method of manufacturing. SOLUTION: A material for the Tatami mat is prepared in a manner that a fibrous sheet containing a diffusible borate of≥0.1 wt.% in terms of boron mediates in the obverse side at least and in the reverse side of a Tatami floor, and it is impregnated or applied with a diffusible borate solution of≥10 wt.% of concentration. The material is cut to a predetermined length and make it mediate in the Tatami floor, and the mothproof tatami mat is manufactured by way of sewing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
