PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of hermetically sealing flange butting portions of steel pipe joints for a steel tower structure, which is applicable to an existing steel tower, and high in reliability and low in cost. SOLUTION: The steel pipes are formed of round pipes 1, 3 having flanges 2, 4 arranged at peripheral edges thereof, respectively. A sealing material 5 is filled into a gap between the butting portions of the respective flanges 2, 4, and then an ultraviolet curable sheet 7 is stuck to the sealing material 5.
