PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agricultural spreading agent that is low foaming, excellent in wetting and spreading properties and easy to handle. SOLUTION: The spreading agent which is low foaming, excellent in wetting and spreading properties and has a high flash point is obtained by using a nonionic surfactant, an anionic surfactant, a higher fatty acid containing≥50 wt.% of a 14C fatty acid, glycols with a flash point of≥70°C and glycol ethers. The nonionic surfactant is either a nonionic surfactant having an average molecular weight of 400-2,000 in which ethylene oxide and propylene oxide are added to a 8-14C higher alcohol in this order or a nonionic surfactant partly comprising the nonionic surfactant to which a fatty acid ethylene oxide adduct is used.
