PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buffer film for optical fiber which has flexibility, hardness and flame retardancy and is curable with ultraviolet ray. SOLUTION: The buffer film for optical fiber contains a halogenated epoxide resin for flame retardancy, an elastomer modified epoxy resin for tensile strength and flexibility, a low viscous bisphenol resin for the integration of a structure, a viscosity adjusting agent for improving process characteristics and extrusion moldability, a polyhydric alcohol for increasing a curing rate and cross-linking in the curing, a slip agent or surface activating agent for improving flow characteristic in the extrusion and a photopolymerization initiator.
