FOXP1 AND USES THEREOF

The present invention relates to FOXP1 and in particular to the use of FOXP1 in treating or identifying patients with conditions mediated by disruptions or alterations in the level of FOXP1 expression or activity. More particularly the invention provides a method of treating diseases or conditions mediated by FOXP1 co-regulation of a nuclear receptor, such as the estrogen receptor, which method comprises administering to an individual in need thereof, an inhibitor or enhancer of the interaction of FOXP1 and said estrogen receptor. Also covered by the application are further methods, compositions, kits and assays relating to FOXP1.
