PURPOSE: A processing cell of an automatic machining system and an automatic honing system are provided to easily decide or change the number of steps, to secure a simple design, and to reduce the installation cost. CONSTITUTION: In a processing cell of an automatic machining system, a control unit(7) of the processing cell comprises an operation data storing unit(85h) for storing every position necessary data for operation at each position of the processing cell installed in the machining section of the automatic machining system and a position designating unit(85i) for designating the after-installation position. The control unit reads the necessary data for operation out of the operation data storing unit in accordance with the position designated by the position designating unit. Accordingly, the operation of each cell is switched in accordance with the position and the processing cells are easily changed in position and adjusted in quantity.
