<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice ball maker which has high safety so as to prevent the occurrence of such a severe accident as a finger cut accident caused on a worker when producing rice balls, where tasty rice balls with puffy palate feeling can be obtained. <P>SOLUTION: The rice ball maker comprises a hopper for receiving cooked rice, a quantitative feeding means for feeding cooked rice released from the hopper by a fixed amount, a molding means for molding fed cooked rice into a predetermined shape, and a shaping means for shaping the molded cooked rice into a triangular one. The shaping means comprises two rotational bodies rotating in an opposite direction to each other, and a pressing member coming into contact with and separating from these rotational bodies. Each of the rotational bodies has a linear part in plan view perpendicular to a rotational axis. The linear part is formed into nearly a V-shaped one following the rotation of each rotational body.
