PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set an optimum and realistic nearest road to a spot under consideration, when a route is guided to the spot under consideration near to a plurality of roads having different classes, in an apparatus for guiding the route. SOLUTION: In the apparatus for guiding route, when the nearest road closest to a desired spot under consideration set by a user is selected, the selected candidate roads are limited, in response to the type of the spot under consideration, and the route guide path to the selected nearest road is calculated under limited conditions.
