PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aging treatment method of an XY matrix panel and an aging treatment device wherein optimization of aging time is realized, manufacturing unit time is suppressed, and brightness is not carelessly deteriorated in the aging process. SOLUTION: This device has an aging driving means 2 to make forward voltage to be impressed on the XY matrix panel 1, a brightness measurement means 3 to continuously measure the brightness of a lighting picture element of the XY matrix panel 1, and a memory means to memorize the brightness measurement value by the brightness measurement means 3. The brightness measurement value by the brightness measurement means 3 and the brightness measurement value memorized in the memory means are compared, and aging finish time is judged based on this comparison result.
