PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an operation voltage while restraining reduction in battery capacity, in a sealed battery. SOLUTION: As for the sealed battery formed by arranging a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate in a case so as to face each other, the packing density of an activator of at least either the positive electrode plate or the negative electrode plate becomes smaller toward a current collector.
