PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system capable of altering a part or all of displays in an information processing apparatus such as a liquid crystal projector according to the information specific to an operation terminal. SOLUTION: This system comprises a liquid crystal projector 101 and a portable terminal 102 operating the liquid crystal projector. The portable terminal 102 holds terminal information 111 having the specific information and state information of the terminal in a terminal information storage part 107. The liquid crystal projector 101 holds display information 118 specifying the configuration of displays on the projector correspondingly to operation information 110 and terminal information 111 sent from the portable terminal 102 in a display information storage part 114. The liquid crystal projector 101 alters the part or all of the displays according to the display information 118 corresponding to the operation information 110 and terminal information 111 sent from the portable terminal 102.
