摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of a chemical conversion coating for metals, which enhances corrosion resistance in unpainted regions of an iron-based substrate and a zinc-based substrate, and improves the adhesiveness of an aluminum-based substrate to a paint film after painted, by controlling a concentration of fluorine ions and a pH in an agent for the chemical conversion coating. SOLUTION: The method of the chemical conversion coating for the metals is characterized by treating a metal surface with the agent for the chemical conversion coating for the metals comprising a fluorine ion, a phosphate ion, and at least one oxidative accelerator selected from the group consisting of a chlorate ion, a nitrate ion and a bromate ion. The agent for the chemical conversion coating for metals has the pH controlled to 3.5 to 5.0, and a concentration of the fluorine ion controlled to 10 to 150ppm.
