PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deviation of a load from being picked up to unloaded by a fork. SOLUTION: The fork 52 of a forklift is inserted in a pallet 71 and this load stabilizer 12 is lowered before picking up the load till an upper side limit switch 37 is turned on. When the fork 52 is raised, the load stabilizer 12 is raised to turn off the upper side limit switch 37, while a lower side limit switch 42 is turned on, so that the load 70 is confirmed to be pushed down by a pushing plate 21. The load is carried in the pushed state, the fork 52 is lowered with the load 70 pushed down by the pushing plate 21, and when the upper side limit switch 37 is driven, the lowering of the fork 52 is stopped. After grounding the pallet 71, the load stabilizer 12 is raised to release the pushing of the load 70 by the pushing plate 21, and the fork 52 is pulled out of the pallet 71. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
