<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door waist molding for an automobile which can be incorporated into a car body without using a separate clip in spite of its large width, which can be easily manufactured and incorporated, which can be installed to make a stable state, and which is prevented from coming off, falling, or chattering. <P>SOLUTION: In this door waist molding for an automobile, a lock part 23 on a molding main body to cover an upper flange 3 of a door panel 2 of an automobile is protruded from an inner wall part 11b to be engaged with a lock part 17 of a flange 3. A lock lip 26 is extended from an outer wall part 11c. The lock lip 26 comprises a head part 33 to be inserted to an inner space 16 of the upper flange 3 to be movable in the inner space 16 when being incorporated, and support compression force applied from the outer wall part 11c to the upper flange 3 when incorporated, and a base part 31 to hold the head part 33 through a neck part 32. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
