<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize taking a view of the whole selection range, without specifying the selection range by mistake, so as to expect the exact editing operation. <P>SOLUTION: When selecting a text 55 (characters or figures) displayed on an editing screen 54, if the selection range (an editing range) 56 expands to the extent which is not justified in the editing screen 54, the display of the editing screen 54 is reduced so that the selection range 58 can be justified in the editing screen 54.
