<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air mattress which accurately yields effect in the improvement of the blood circulation on the surface of the skins of the patients by developing a better cushioning action while always supporting the patients with an air pressure even when they sit thereon. <P>SOLUTION: In the air mattress, four cell bodies each comprising a tube body with a specified length expansible by filling it with the compressed air are integrally combined vertically and longitudinally to form one set of cells. Many sets of cells are arranged side by side horizontally in the longitudinal direction thereof, so that a lower air layer of the mattress with a fixed thickness can be formed with cell bodies arranged bellow. This enables the formation of the lower air layer that develops a better cushioning action as a whole by filling the cell bodies with the compressed air. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
