<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device capable of reading internal data or programs when predetermined data or signals are input. <P>SOLUTION: The semiconductor device comprises protecting circuits 31-34 connected between each of a ROM 21, a RAM 22, a register 23 and a user circuit 24 and a CPU 11, a debugging circuit 12 for controlling the CPU 11 when connected to a debugging tool 40 and for instructing the protecting circuits 31-34 to prohibit the transfer of data, a protection canceling circuit 13 for instructing the protecting circuits 31-34 to transfer the data in spite of the instruction by the debugging circuit 12, and the CPU 11 for performing given computation when disconnected from the debugging tool 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
