<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a high-quality image without uneven display by eliminating affection of capacitive coupling caused between pixel electrodes and data lines in an electro-optical device. <P>SOLUTION: This electro-optical device is equipped on a substrate with data lines 6a, scanning lines 3a crossing it, and pixel electrodes 9a and TFTs 30 disposed so as to correspond to a crossing region of the data lines and the scanning lines and forming a part of laminated structure. Storing capacitors 70 electrically connected to the TFTs and the pixel electrodes, and shield layers 400U disposed between the data lines and the pixel electrodes with fixed potential are provided on the substrate, forming a part of the laminated structure. At least a part of capacitive electrodes 400D connected to the shield layer contains one of a pair of electrodes constituting the storing capacitors. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
