PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for authentication for reducing manhour of a user and reducing a burden of operation management of a web server in order to restrict an access to a plurality of web servers to a specific user group. SOLUTION: A first web server 10 which receives an access request to an access restricted region of the device itself from a client terminal 20 and does not have authentication information conducts an authentication request to a second web server 30 which has an access restricted region to which the access is limited to the specific user group and registers the authentication information. The first web server which receives an authentication result from the second web server makes the client terminal access to the access restricted region in response to the authentication result.
