FIELD ELIMINATION APPARATUS OF VIDEO COMPRESSION/DECOMPRESSION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate redundant video images, to encode remaining data and to reconstruct eliminated fields. SOLUTION: A latest field is eliminated when the total of field difference over one field is less than the predefined value. A frame of a video signal is constituted by the remaining fields. Data from odd and even-numbered fields is accessed from each field of a memory so that the data occupy odd and even-numbered lines of the constructed frame. Flags DF and DT are connected with the constructed frame in order to show which field includes data connected with the eliminated field and which field of the constructed frame should be displayed at the beginning.
