PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle navigation system capable of grasping a guide point easily, and capable of conducting guide and introduction surely, a POI information display control method therefor and a program for executing the method. SOLUTION: In this on-vehicle navigation system, information other than POI information as to a prescribed guide point is brought into a non-display condition, out of display of the POI information corresponding to an image display mode, when own vehicle approaches to the prescribed guide point. Whole POI information is displayed again after passing the prescribed guide point. The display for the POI information as to the prescribed guide point is displayed emphatically therein.
