METHOD OF DRIVING PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL AND PLASMA DISPLAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of driving a plasma display panel and a plasma display for stabilizing display by reducing deviation of an electric charge. SOLUTION: When interlace type display is performed with a PDP having an electrode array where two adjacent lines share one display electrode, a reset discharge is generated as a reset or part of the reset which serves as preparation of addressing only in the line used for display in the most recent sustaining. Two steps of wall electric charge control causing a reset discharge only in the other line thereafter are included in a driving sequence. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
