The paving stone (1) is provided with a vertical hole which contains light (4) which comprises a semiconductor light source, e.g. a diode (7). The diode is in a sealed body (5) and is surrounded by ac primary winding (8) which is magnetically coupled to a secondary winding within the sealed body (5) to power the light.
