PURPOSE: An antenna-embedded portable information terminal and a call method using the same are provided to improve the performance of an antenna embedded in a folder terminal by embodying a suitable matching circuit according to a contact state with the hinge part of the folder terminal. CONSTITUTION: An antenna-embedded portable information terminal consists of an embedded antenna(11), a sensing part(12), the first and second switches(13,14), the first matching circuit(15), the second matching circuit(16), and a duplexer(17). The embedded antenna(11), installed in the inside of a mobile terminal, transmits and receives RF signals. The sensing part(12) senses whether a user holds a portion where the embedded antenna(11) is installed. The first and second switches(13,14) provide the first or second path according to a sensing signal outputted from the sensing part(12). The first matching circuit(15) compensates the impedance difference between the input port and output port of the first path and outputs an RF signal to the second switch(14) or the embedded antenna(11). The second matching circuit(16) compensates the impedance difference between the input port and output port of the second path and outputs an RF signal to the first switch(13) or the second switch(14). The duplexer(17) separates the received radio waves inputted through the second switch(14) from the radio waves to be transmitted to the second switch(14).
