PURPOSE: A phone book in a portable phone is provided to give convenience in using the phone book of a portable phone by enabling a user to transmit all the numbers of the phone book of his portable phone to a desired portable phone or another equipment. CONSTITUTION: A system for transmitting the phone book(20) of a portable phone is divided into a phone number transmission mode(21), a portable phone transmission mode(22), and an E-mail transmission mode(23). The phone number transmission mode(21) transmits the phone numbers previously registered in the phone book(20) among various function data previously established in a memory part. The portable phone transmission mode(22) transmits the whole numbers of the phone book(20) between portable phones. The E-mail transmission mode(23) transmits the phone numbers registered in another equipment by E-mail.
