PLANTING RAFT AND METHOD OF PURIFYING WATER BY USING THE PLANTING RAFT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting raft on which many microorganisms are living and with which water can be efficiently purified and to provide a method of purifying water using the planting raft.

SOLUTION: A planting raft 1 contains: a planting base 2 for planting plants; a carbon fiber body 3 which is provided by leaving a space between the planting base 2 and is made to be mesh-shaped to allow microorganisms to live therein; and a supporting flotation body 4 which enables the planting base 2 to be arranged on a water surface and enables the carbon fiber mesh 3 to be immersed at a predetermined position in water.
