<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately position units in simple constitution and to stabilize image quality in an image forming device provided with a plurality of image forming means. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device is provided with an exposure device 70 provided with a plurality of scanner units having a polygon mirror and a return mirror for emitting lasers L respectively from the plurality of the scanner units (70A, 70B, 70C and 70D), and a plurality of image carriers (40A, 40B, 40C and 40D) where electrostatic latent images are formed by the respective lasers L emitted from the exposure device 70. The plurality of polygon mirrors (71A, 71B, 71C and 71D) and the plurality of return mirrors (72A, 72B, 72C and 72D) are arranged on the almost same vertical surface.
