<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composite image forming apparatus having a plurality of application functions and forming (printing) an image in response to a print out request from each application in which output results of the plurality of applications can be discriminated from the printed matter. <P>SOLUTION: When an application identification mark is designated to be put (by user operation) on a printed matter requested to be outputted by an application, identification mark information (e.g. an identity is imparted by the size, arrangement and density of a rectangular pattern, as shown on the drawing) is taken out previously from an RAM for each application and set in a means for generating mark print data. An identification mark thus generated is delivered, as print data being superposed on an image requested to be printed from an application on a page memory, to an image forming section and printed out. Even if print requests are delivered simultaneously from a plurality of applications, the printed matter can be identified for each application and confusion can be avoided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
