PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an appropriate image content corresponding to a request of a user and display ability of terminal equipment that the user uses.

SOLUTION: In an image data communication system, a user terminal transmits the request of image data and one or above attribute information among a pixel size and a data size of the image data and the number of colors to a server device. The server device converts requested image data in accordance with designated attribute information and transmits converted image data to the user terminal. The user terminal receives and displays the converted image data. Thus, the image data of an attribute that the user requests is transmitted and wasteful data communication can be prevented. Consequently, communication cost can be reduced.
