KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM AND AUTHORIZATION-CODE ENTRY METHOD FOR ITS PORTABLE MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a mistaken entry to peripheral other cars without requiring large-scale equipment when a certification code for a portable machine is entered to a control unit for cars on an assembly line for the cars in a keyless entry system.

SOLUTION: A code arithmetically operated on the basis of the certification code for a manual key read by a key-code read section in a portable-machine code setter is set as the certification code for the portable machine and written in a code memory section. The certification code for the manual key read by a code read section 31 for the certification-code entry device 30 in the car-loaded control unit 20 is entered in a memory section 23 as a manual-key entry code by a first entry section 32. The code arithmetically operated by a certification-code arithmetically operating section 33 on the basis of a manual-key certification code is entered in the memory section as a portable-machine entry code by a second entry section 34.
